Gailya McElroy Scott is an associate at Gray, Rust, St. Amand, Moffett & Brieske LLP. Her practice focuses on premises liability, products liability, and insurance defense litigation. Prior to joining Gray Rust, Gailya was an associate at a well-respected Atlanta law firm where her practice included mass tort and personal injury litigation. She has considerable experience in professional malpractice litigation. Prior to her legal career, Gailya worked as a human resource manager for State Farm Insurance and Dell Computers.
Gailya received her Juris Doctor from University of Missouri School of Law, where she achieved membership in the Order of Barristers. She also received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri and a Masters Degree from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. Gailya has been admitted to the State Bar of Georgia since 2007 and the Missouri Bar since 2005. She is a member United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. Gailya served as general counsel for the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia from 2011 through 2018.
In her spare time, Gailya enjoys traveling, golfing, staying fit, and teaching youth Sunday School at Cascade United Methodist Church.
