Lyra Foster fights hard for her clients as one of the first openly-transgender lawyers in Georgia. Her practice areas include transportation defense, construction, and professional liability. She brings unique perspective to her work in defense litigation, coming from a background in social work and mental health advocacy. She Graduated from Mercer University School of Law in 2020, where she founded a legal non-profit program for criminal records expungement as a student.
She is the chief officer of Trans Family Network and litigated a case securing healthcare for a trans inmate in Georgia in 2023. She is a frequent public speaker on legal issues for transgender people, especially transgender healthcare.
